Cancer and Developmental Exposure to Endocrine Disruptors

Pre-natal exposures to many industrial chemicals can cause cancer or can increase sensitivity to cancer-causing agents later in life. Although numerous studies have confirmed and reconfirmed this fact, few studies of humans have taken this into consideration. Many researchers try to correlate cancers with chemical exposures at the time when cancer is diagnosed, but this may be the wrong time to be looking for cause-and-effect exposures, which may occur much earlier, in the womb.
