Abstract:

Says globalization as the inevitable result of humanity's search for nonzero-sum games (games in which both players can win) combined with technology that allows us to play those games at greater and greater distances, which in turn enmeshes humanity in a shared fate which in turn requires us to establish global governance (not necessarily governmental) to control nuclear and biotechnology [among others] but also requires us to put ourselves in the shoes of the people who hate us.
