Abstract:

N.J. Department of Environmental Protection is aggressively promoting fishing in N.J., especially among children and most especially among girls. This Op-Ed offers evidence that N.J. waters are contaminated with a variety of toxicants that endanger women's reproductive systems and arguies that DEP is playing Russian roulette with the health of young girls by promoting fishing without warning against eating the fish.
